High Tech High Stem Cell Core Lab

Our stem cell core facility was started in September of 2017 by the 12th-grade Biology students of High Tech High, located in San Diego.

The mission of the stem cell core is to use stem cell research to cure disease and help the world.

We currently are culturing three different mouse cell lines in the lab: a stem cell line that differentiates into myocytes (muscle cells), a stem cell line that differentiates into adipocytes (fat cells), and a prostate cancer cell line. Each student group has designed an experiment with one of these lines of cells. A list of experiments is shown below:
